Apparently. The Idaho season goes til the end of June. I’ve been out two years“scouting” from mid-may to end of may and have ran into snow pack in the areas I wanted I hunt. So this year I’m going late and hoping for the best.
We don’t have anyhing cool like turkey up here so I am thinking that I will probably hunt some stumps. My wife isn’t a big game eater so I don’t think a bear would be appreciated. Also not sure if I am ready enough for anything that breathes yet. Still getting used to the bow.
I still have a lot of set up to do with my bow, and even more shooting and tuning. I am nowhere near ready to hunt with it. I am planning on chasing turkeys with my shotgun though.
Mostly going to be scouting in the "local areas" within an easy drive of my home. I kinda blew Turkey season here by being gone on vacation.
I have a tendency to fall asleep way easier than I did when I was younger, so the scouting also entails trying to find a good place for ground blind. Maybe with a cot in it....... ;)
Maybe a little turkey hunting but the spring bear hunt will be awesome! Come on June!!!!
You guys hunt the bears in June?
